Meet our Spa Staff!

Tammy is an expert in the art of nails.  With over 10 years of experience, her detailed, quick work makes her a favorite with everyone for manicures, pedicures and waxing services.


Matthew joined Urban Yoga Spa as a massage therapist in the spring of 2009 and is thrilled to see the positive changes and growth that has occured over the last few years. He specializes in slow, methodical, specialized work that enables people to live more fully in their bodies. Matthew has also just begun work at the Cortiva-Seattle School of Massage as a Teaching Assistant so he can enable others to give quality massage therapy
Ramla is an esthetician and lash stylist at UYS.  A Canadian product who was schooled at the University of Toronto, Ramla received her esthetician certificate from the Euro Institute of Skin Care.  Since then, Ramla has dedicated herself to creating, each and every time, the perfect spa experience - one that triggers relaxation, rejuvenation, and results.  Ramla's practice is grounded in the recognition that no two clients are alike and each service is unique. She is thrilled to be a part of a team that shares and enhances this vision.
Lash stylist, beauty addict and yogi wannabe, Jean Silva graduated from the Euro Institute of Skin in 2005 and has been Xtreme(tm) Lash trained since 2008. Jean has a passion for the fashion and beauty industry, believing that a woman is only as good as she feels.  What makes Jean feel good?  Long lashes, high heels, good wine and great company.
Carlie began practicing massage in 2005 after graduating from Bastyr university with a nutrition degree and massage certification. She uses a variety of deep tissue modalities including Myofascial Release, Structural Relief Therapy, and Medical Massage to provide relaxation and relief from injury and stress. When she's not working or practicing yoga at UYS, she can be found teaching cooking classes, snowboarding, or cycling around the city.
Dena specializes in massage aimed to improve athlete’s health and performance.  Dena combines deep tissue, tui na, acupressure, stretching and relaxation techniques to move energy, restore balance and relieve muscle tension.  Dena enjoys snowboarding, playing soccer, hiking, yoga and walking her dogs.  She is a practitioner of sustainable living, attempting to meet her needs without negatively impacting future generations.
